Author: Clive Anderson
Providing quality poultry housing for your hens is far easier than you think. How you house your chickens is pretty important, you really can give them a more than adequate home very cost effectively by building easy chicken coops. By simple I mean not complicated and by easy I mean with little or no effort, the sense of satisfaction will be second to none when you see your new feathered friends settled into their the simple DIY chicken coop that you have built for them.
Of course you have the option to buy readymade housing, but they are very expensive indeed and I think that they are not quite as good value for money as the manufacturers would like you to believe.
When you take into consideration the limited amount of materials used to build them, you really are paying an over inflated price when you could get them at a DIY store for a small percentage of that
It seems to make perfect sense to me to build your poultry accommodation, especially when as a general rule you can save up to 50% on the cost of anything readymade and as you are in control of the whole project you can really guarantee that the quality remains consistent throughout your build too.
Of course we all need a little guidance from time to time, which is where the current interest in all things poultry is a huge benefit, how? Well there is now so much fantastic information available to use at the touch of a button especially in relation to building DIY chicken housing. Loads of useful hints and tips being shared that once would never have got any further than the local farming communities, let alone being global for the likes of you and me to benefit from.
One of the plus things in looking at all these amazing chicken house plans and chicken coop kits is that it seems that you really do not have to have any major DIY skill. If you can hold a screwdriver and a hammer, you are on the road to building some fantastic poultry housing.
It stands to reason that, if you have a very clear set of instructions that are laid out in simple to understand terms and guide you through each stage, step by step that there is little or no margin for error. That has to be brilliant and give you so much confidence to build your DIY chicken coop.
By building easy chicken coops, I really think that you will be pretty stunned at what you are capable of producing even if you do not think you can. You will know that you have a durable, economical poultry house that your hens will be safe and secure in and by building their home you will have more than met both you and your chickens' simple but specific chicken housing needs.
Building chicken coops is simple and a great deal of fun when you are given the correct information. They are practical, easy to assemble and you can save an absolute fortune.
There are dozens of poultry related websites that claim to offer visitors great chicken coop plans, but few sadly seem to offer little more than a single basic design. However one of the bestchicken coop design websites online that has been endorsed by hundreds of chicken breeders and owners worldwide so far contains a wealth of chicken housing data and related information that is well worth reviewing and can be viewed at: (http://www.chickenhousekit.com)

DIY Building question?
Hi
I would like to build a cat enclosure so basically a big enough cage to house all my cats during the night. I would like to know what I would need, the materials I will need in order to build something that will actually stand and be able to at least hold a few platforms. I was thinking of just getting some chicken coop wire and wrapping around a few poles. Then getting a tarp or some sturdy boars for a roof and floor. I seriously need some direction on how to build something that is comfortable and livable for my cats.
I’m not trying to be mean, its just that my family won’t keep them in the house at night and i don’t like the idea of them roaming around at night. I would rather keep them some place where i know they are safe at night. So please help me with this building instruction.
I’m looking for building ideas and how to build it correctly.
Thanks in advance.

chickendiyguides.com book by Mary Nelson – Is it useful?
Hi
Maybe one of you bought the chicken coop guide by Mary Nelson on chickendiyguides.com and can tell me about his own experience with the guide? I really want to build a chicken coop soon and wonder what will be the easiest guide to follow. If anyone can tell me if the chicken diy guide by Mary Nelson is a good one or can recommend about other guide it will be great.
Thanks
Hi Lusi
In my opinion the Chicken DIY Guide by Mary Nelson is very useful and can help you a lot.
The guide contains videos and manuals all designed to provide step by step instructions on how to make a backyard chicken coop. The design plans contained in this material include small, midsize, portable and large coop plans.
Mary Nelson’s product also includes a city ordinances guide which provides information on regulations for raising chickens in most major cities. A pre-construction instruction material is also part of the package.
The best thing about Mary Nelson’s DIY Chicken Coop guide is that it is comprehensive; with almost every aspect of chicken breeding covered in the guide materials.
When you purchase the guide, you will also receive some very useful bonuses like a series of high definition (HD) videos on the ins and outs of keeping healthy chicken and you will also find information such as hen nesting, chicken feeds, automatic watering system, eggs collection, care for chicks etc. There are also 4 special reports on chicken breeding and brooding chicks.
I also liked that if for any reason you don’t like the product, you can have your money back in 60 days, with no hassles or delays. So there is just no risk and your 100% satisfaction is guaranteed. The product is sold through Clickbank which is the largest retailer of digital products, so the entire transaction enjoys the highest level of security.
There are some other good guides online but I personally bought the Chicken DIY Guide by Mary Nelson and was very satisfied.
With the money back guarantee and very easy to follow instructions I think that it’s worth the price.
By the way you can use the link below to get about 25% discount for the Chicken DIY Guides. Hope it helps and good luck with your chicken coop!
